1970 Wilson classical guitar, made in Japan during the golden era of high-grade Japanese classical guitar building. This is a serious, concert-capable instrument, built with Brazilian rosewood back and sides and a 55 year old aged spruce top, delivering depth, projection, and clarity associated with professional classical guitars.

This guitar was clearly owned and maintained by a knowledgeable classical guitarist. The bridge was professionally replaced with a hand-built bridge by renowned American luthier John Gilbert, a significant upgrade reflecting careful voicing and proper geometry rather than a generic repair. The instrument also shows evidence of an older lacquer overspray, which has been fully accounted for in pricing and does not affect tone or structural integrity.

Original paperwork and a 1975 appraisal documenting its high original value

This is a great concert guitar for players and students, offering Brazilian rosewood tone at a fraction of the cost of Spanish or modern boutique instruments.

A great option for advanced students, performers, or anyone seeking a powerful, responsive classical guitar with real character.t a very accessible price.

A high-quality Vintage Japanese classical guitar from the golden era of MIJ classical guitar building featuring beautifully figured Brazilian rosewood back and sides.
