Hand-built in Long Beach, California in 1972, this Robert Mattingly classical guitar is a warm, expressive, and powerful vintage instrument. Mattingly’s work is known for its strong projection, dark cedar warmth, and deep, resonant basses.

This guitar features a cedar top paired with Indian rosewood back and sides t harvested from the base of the tree, where grain pattern and color can closely resemble Brazilian rosewood. Beautiful natural aesthetics and a highly resonant body.

One professionally repaired crack (from bridge to the lower bout) that is stable and clean. slight clouding off lacquer on the back is hardly visible.

Currently strung with Optima Carbon High Tension strings.
