About Paulino Bernabé:
Paulino Bernabé Sr. (1932–2007) trained in the Madrid school and worked closely with José Ramírez III before establishing his own workshop. He became known for building powerful, modern concert instruments with precision craftsmanship and consistency. His guitars are widely respected among professional players for their projection, clarity, and reliability on stage.
Outstanding 1973 Paulino Bernabé “PB” classical guitar, built in Madrid by Paulino Bernabé Sr., one of the most respected Spanish luthiers of the post-Ramírez generation.
This instrument has had a single owner since new and remains in remarkably clean, near-original condition. It shows only very minor play wear on the top, with the rest of the guitar presenting almost like new. Structurally excellent and all original, including the case.
Built with a cedar top and Indian rosewood back and sides, this guitar delivers a powerful, refined concert voice with exceptional projection and clarity. The response is immediate and articulate, with strong separation and a wide dynamic range—hallmarks of Bernabé’s best work.
The neck features a comfortable, slight D profile, thin making it particularly playable for extended sessions.
