Offered for sale is a beautifully preserved 1983 Joaquín García, handcrafted in Málaga, Spain and representing the rich tradition of southern Spanish guitar making. Built with a mature European spruce top and premium Indian rosewood back and sides, this concert instrument offers the warmth, responsiveness, and expressive character that have long defined the finest handmade Spanish guitars.

Joaquín García established his workshop in Málaga, where he built instruments in relatively small numbers with an emphasis on traditional construction and careful individual voicing. His guitars are appreciated for their lively response, balanced tonal character, and refined craftsmanship rather than elaborate ornamentation. Instruments from this period remain increasingly difficult to find, particularly examples that have remained free of cracks and structural repairs.

The aged spruce top has opened beautifully over more than four decades, producing a warm, articulate voice with excellent projection and remarkable balance across the entire fingerboard. The Indian rosewood body contributes depth, sustain, and a rich harmonic foundation while maintaining the clarity expected from a fine Spanish concert instrument. The result is a guitar that feels equally comfortable performing intimate lyrical works or larger concert repertoire.

The current setup measures 3.2 mm on the bass side and 2.6 mm on the treble side at the 12th fret with approximately 4 mm of saddle remaining, providing excellent projection while leaving generous adjustment for future setup preferences. Combined with its comfortable 647 mm scale and 53 mm nut width, this guitar offers an exceptionally inviting playing experience.

This instrument remains in excellent original condition with no cracks, repairs, or structural issues and has been carefully maintained throughout its life.
